RAWALPINDI: All Pakistan CNG Association has announced 24 hours token strike in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Gujar Khan on Tuesday to press for their demands. Accordingly, all the CNG refilling stations would remain closed from 0000 hours Monday night to 0000 hours Tuesday night. Another 24 hours token strike would be observed on November 12 in Lahore and Sargodha; and finally November 13 in Multan and Bahawalpur, said Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association in a statement on Monday. "If our demands are not accepted till November 14, then from November 15, the CNG dealers would observe strike in the entire Punjab and NWFP provinces," he added. All Pakistan CNG Association has demanded exemption from load shedding for the CNG stations saying, "It is an essential service". It has also asked the government not to increase the gas tariff in January 2010 and formulate a CNG Policy for the next five years.
